Hendricksons, Hendricksons, Hendricksons…

If you’re still letting the weather forecast dictate your fishing time you will be hearing about how wonderful the fishing has been without experiencing it firsthand. The river is at 85 CFs, clear and warming at about 52 F. We’ve had good mid-day hatches of Hendricksons with many of these early mayflies returning to the water as spinners by 4:00 PM. Plenty of midge activity is still happening above Falls Rd. Olives are a good bet through the weekend. As long as it warms up a bit and we have cloud cover the fishing will be outstanding. Earlier in the week we had a group of four beginners out with two guides on a full day trip.Everyone had a blast and upwards of a dozen fish were released including one that got away in the 20″ range. The same fish was seen moving upstream past a guide and client a few minutes later with a 16″ and 18″ fish. All three resumed feeding within two rod lengths of the party-quite a show.

Note: The shop will be closed Easter Sunday.
