Outside magazine gave builder Bernard Ramanauskas an Outside Magazine Best Gear Award in 2007 for the Scott Fly Rods 6′ 11″ 4wt 2pc/2tip rod.

In this video short, the first production rod built for Scott by Bernard Ramanauskas and delivered to a US dealer in 2006, (you guessed it, Backwater Angler) a 6′ 11″ 4wt 2pc/2tip rod with serial #1006 is shown being lawn cast. Backwater Angler is proud to be one of four international dealers representing Bernard’s newest venture called Freestone LLC, the maker of Eden Cane bamboo fly rods and Scott SC bamboo fly rods.

Eden cane has quite a following in Japan where fly fishing for yamame and cherry salmon is very popular.
