Don’t wait for better weather.. We’ve had lots of people in this week fishing midges and olives from Falls RD upstream. Stoneflies are buzzin’ from Big Falls through Masemore RD. The water is low and clear and 42 F. If you’re getting an early start, nymphing is very effective. In the AM, try a #16-18 Copper John in fast riffles, by noon, small dries, such as a #20-22 CDC Olive paired with a #18-20 griffiths gnat or renegade should work fine. Little black stoneflies #14-16 and some early brown stones are making their way to the banks to so try a midstream posistion and cover riffles near fallen logs and trees.
